The Devil's Dilemma

To be in a dilemma is to be stuck between a rock and a hard place, caught between the Devil and the deep blue sea. Whichever way you look at it, itís not a good place to be.

It seems that Thanet District Council have found themselves in just such a dilemma, not that they have realised it yet.

Seb Reilly absolutely insists all his guest posts for Thanet Star are a product of our imagination. As our ISP does not like being harassed we have been forced to "agree". This excerpt comes via fair use but you will need to find the rest somewhere else.

TDC now have no input in saving Manston Airport as the DCO takes that problem out of their hands, so they can concentrate on Dreamland and perhaps both will be saved

The proposition in your piece is that TDC have resources to spare, by abandoning their Manston ambitions, to allocate to solving Dreamland problems. It is an absurd proposition upon which your begging the question fallacy of a "Dilemma" is based.

I think the short story is TDC lack the resources to do both (almost a given). Therefore, if they are to have any chance to do either, then perhaps they must pick one rather than fail at both. That does not seem so far-fetched to me.
