Thanet Men Die Young
This interesting factoid comes direct from no other than Thanet District council themselves. The question it raises is why are the figures as they are?
I imagine that the reason is that there is a higher rate of poor health among the poorest sections of Thanet. Poverty tends towards a higher suicide rate and this is higher among young jobless males at around 6.5%. I kid you not. The good news is that this rate of death has dropped over the last ten years but the bad news is that drop off has stopped.
Add to that the most at risk of violent assault group is also young men and it becomes easy to see what is staggering the numbers. The mortality rate might actually be the same across all demographics but young men are in the most danger in Thanet.

Like the probable causation of Thanet's high rates of ectopic pregnancy and polycystic ovary syndrome ?
Why sit on yer backsides bewailing Thanet health, unemployment and crime stats ? Begging for solutions to be brought to you as a result of self pitying Thanet wailing ? Why should the taxpayer fork out to relieve Thanet ? Lovely area shite people. No amount of money would change a thing.
Move ? Get on the bike, we are all Thatcherites now.
