Stop, Vote Time! What the blogs are saying.

What have the local bloggers been saying about election day?

For goodness sake make the effort to vote Urges Michael of Michael's bookshop while Simon Moores reminds us that (in the face of an ellection) Jokes are seriouse.

Despite the message from leaders of all flavours to please go out and vote this time as currently it's all Conservatives with a few really good Liberal Democrats holding on but the blue could switch to a more blue and yellow format.

Thanet Press Releases has a bunch of statments includinga very weak offering fromthe Conservatives lsiting a few dubiouse achievments and failing to find anything bad that Labour might have done resorted to asking just three questions. Of course they fail to mention that the Liberal Democrate Councillors are among the hardest working on the council while they have members who fail to show up two thirds of the time.

Ian Driver (another one featured on the press release blog) is very clear that you should vote for him, after all his blog is called vote4driver. No mixed message there then.

The green bloggers are hopeful of snagging a seat somewhere. One green blogger tells us that the English Democrats were tricked into standing a candidate that does not exist. Oops.

Meanwhile I've taken the opportunity to launch a new voting system for site members while reminding you to go cast a vote, or at least show up and spoil your ballot, just be counted as caring even if you don't care for any of the candidates. At least in Margate and Cliftonville you can vote for me, others are not so lucky.

In Margate and Cliftonville I'm up against the powerhouse of Will Scobie (and daddy's party connections), no not the Graphical Artist but Labour's young professional politician and student. While I might feel that Will is taking on too much too soon he is a nice bloke and if I have to come second to anyone... (not that I will because most people are going to vote "Matt Brown").

So enough of this political talk - to the polling stations! It's voting time.
