Ramsgate to reopen to live animal exports

Thanet District Council have been compelled to allow live exports to resume.
The
BBC reported 18 hours ago that the
temporary suspension of live animal exports from the Port of Ramsgate has been overturned by the High Court
.
Like wise
Farmers Weekly reported the story saying that the move was
welcomed by farmers who are preparing to supply thousands of sheep to France for the Muslim festival of Eid.
Thanet District Council are expected to launch an appeal and it is also reported that there may be compensation sought from the council for lost earnings during the ban.
