Party success: In your face nasty Dave!
Despite Nasty Dave (as opposed to nice Dave, cool Dave and also known as Mr Reaper, Dave) suggesting that yours truly should host his birthday party in a phone box my birthday went ahead and was amazing because I am brilliant and people who leave snide comments smell of BO.
The band, Memepunks, came down from London for their first gig in the area and set a great tone for the party. The crew at The Bracket were awesome hosts and really went above and beyond to make us feel right at home taking over the pub for a Friday night to remember.
Karen of Nchanted Photography donated her time to make sure that there were some wonderful photographs of guests in their fancy dress outfits (those of us that dressed up)
Mrs W, Mr W, Mr C, Mrs B and others cooked, baked and prepared a huge buffet.
My sister thoroughly embarrassed me with a large cake and a Memepunks led round of happy birthday. Followed by making me say a few words (which I loved doing).
Then the party after the party went on until it started to get light with friends who had driven down from London and Oxford staying up all night with more myself and more local friends talking, laughing and generally enjoying each other company.
It was everything a party should be with non of the negative crap that can creep in.
Big thanks to everyone that came and also to Dean (who also had a birthday that weekend) and his staff at The Bracket.

Also there is nothing wrong with getting out of one's comfort zone and going somewhere to do something that leaves you feeling like a fish out of water. It helps you grow as a person.
