It not seem right
It was a week ago when I received the call. A lad I had known since childhood, David Thorman, had been taken from us.
My deepest sympathies go to his mum and dad, who always had time for me when I was little, and the rest of the family.
I have felt devastated by the news even though he and I had not been in contact in many years. Even so, it has been the deepest of shocks and I cannot even begin to describe how I feel. Our families were part of the same church community when we were growing up. We went to the same Sunday school and youth group.
It just not seem right at all.
Please forgive me if I do not say much more about this deeply saddening topic; just coming up with a headline was painful enough. Perhaps you should read this fantastic tribute to Dave.
