Demolition of building

Following the unauthorised demolition of a building in Ramsgate questions are being asked as to why it was torn down.

According to a quote in KentOnline it is a criminal offence for any person to carry out the demolition of buildings within conservation areas without valid planning permission. Which leaves one wondering what exactly happened (beyond scaring the pants off of locals).

At the time rubble spilled out into the road and caused quite a lot of disruption.

Reader Laura sent us these photographs of the building now that it has been cleared up.
