Councillor David Green has addressed the China Gateway vote in a blog posting. In his post he praised the efforts of Michael Child to
Cllr Green was very clear that he had yet to reach a conclusion as to how he will vote although commenters have speculated this is to avoid being removed from the vote. Similarly he addressed the issue of the donations to his party from the developer and if it had biased his opinion.
Councillor David Green also joined Cllr Chris Wells in calling for the debate to be broadcast.

There is too much distrust of Councillors around this issue,said Cllr Green,
broadcasting the meeting might help the public to understand the issues as they are put in a Planning context. I understand that the Planning Committee is already routinely recorded, so there is no excuse in not broadcasting it, even if it cannot be done live.

When contributions were made to David's blog mentioning his role on Standards Cttee exempting Cllr Hayton and Planning Officer Miles Mace from inquiry he deleted them, and put comment moderation on with the comment he did not mind criticism of himself but not of others on his blog.
It is a matter of fact that Kent Police Authority are carrying out a Standards Board inquiry re Cllr Hayton on matters which touch on the same matters as David Green and Co swept under the carpet at Thanet Council.
And that the matters before KPA include a TDC FOI answer confirming that Sericol had a chyclohexanone ground strata contamination incident in the 90s. An incident vindicating the concerns Michael Child has articulted so well re CGP.
As part of FOI inquiries Ken Gregory said he had not been involved in examining the Sericol incidents for due diligence (re lessons to be learnt by TDC and applied to planning applications).
Ken Gregory has said he is joined at the hip with former Chair of Planning Bill Hayton.
Bill Hayton seemed very joined at the hip in 1998 with tory Cllr George Maison who left Sericol employ in 1998 after inquiry there into forged qualifications ....
If I found my tenants' gas safety certs had been issued by a bogus Corgi registered gas fitter then would I be allowed the Sericol privilege of doing nothing about it and proceeding as if the certs are valid ? I don't think so.
Or the Deal Barracks privilege where they have a mate of Maisons with allaged forged Army records on security and the Inquest into the murder of 11 Marines let the MOD proceed (Civil Servant wife of Jack Straw the Home Sec who refused to order further inquiry) as if it had provided competent security.
I wonder if Hayton would cough to knowing about the Sericol incident or will he join Ken Gregory on the monkeys bench (hear no evil scratch my back Hele sele and never reveal. Dib dib fib fib ?
