CATURDAY: Dave

TAG rescue logo

This handsome kitty has spent half his life without a home, can you give him one?

Local rescue center TAG are appealing to us about Dave, a two year old black and white beauty who came to them a year ago after his owner gave birth to a child and decided that she could not manage them both.

Being with TAG for a year, and only being two years of age, this means that poor young Dave has literally spent half his life without a real home.

This is likely due to the fact that he is black and white, a colouration of furr which often "puts people off", but we at Thanet Star and TAG are hoping that you can overcome the superstitions surrounding black cats and black and white cats.

He is described, in first person as is the tradition at TAG, as requiring a quiet safe home with a garden for me to explore where I can have an occasional snooze

He is too shy and scared to be with other cats or dogs, but loves cuddles, strokes and play time.

A beautiful poem was attached to their email.
Take a look at me
Tell me what you see -
A life-long friend and always there,
Curled upon my favourite chair,
Do talk to me, and stroke my fur,
I'll always answer with a purr.

Please, if you think that you can give this handsome chap a lovely new forever home, do get in touch with TAG Pet Rescue Animal Sanctuary. You can do this by calling them on 01843822931 or by emailing tagpet@btinternet.com.

If this particular is not suitable, but you still want to provide a loving home for one of their rescues, visit the website where you can see photographs and descriptions of many of the animals in their care, and not just cats, there are other species needing homes as well.

Alternatively, they are always looking for volunteers to help them at the center or to raise money for the care of their rescues. Again, details are on the website.

Thank you, and see you next Caturday!
