A law student and a caseworker at a criminal law firm, Kent Defence by the name of Gemma writes on her blog about the impact of legal aid cuts in Thanet and East Kent. She reports that
The reality is that it is unlikely that suspects or defendants from Margate or Ramsgate will have a solicitor within 30-40 miles. and that
the proposals have been thrown together in a extraordinary rush.
